New Recording: "The Daffodil"

Hi Friends -

Hope this finds all of you well and enjoying life.

To celebrate Spring, we've just finished a mix of a new recording of a Penny Hanna tune from the early 90's. It's called "The Daffodil" and is performed as an instrumental in this incarnation. Slim is on guitar, harmonica, and MIDI/Audio sequencing, Penny on bass, viola da gamba, and MIDI sequencing.

And to celebrate our first upload of 2012, we've created a Reverb Nation page to make it (hopefully) easier for some of you to listen to and download our stuff (now works with iOS devices too). We're continuing to post the old fashioned way as well, on our websites (liner notes, free download, and streaming if your browser supports it).

Slim Sez: This cut was especially fun for me because I got to try out my spanking new Fender Custom Shop Telecaster with Parsons/White B-Bender. If you don't know what that is, suffice it to say that I've been dreaming of playing a guitar like this since 1971 when I first saw Clarence White play with the Byrds. (Thanks to Gene Parsons for the beautiful installation job!)

 Happy Spring!
